Election 2010: Thank You !

It is a tremendous honour to be elected as MP for Esher and Walton. I have just got back - a bit bleary eyed - from the local elections count, where we have added a seat to our majority on the borough council and watched Tony Samuels elected to the county council. I am absolutely delighted that we have managed to strengthen our local and Parliamentary majorities.

You can see the results for the Parliamentary seat here. My thanks to everyone who voted - turn out was 72% - and I am now thoroughly looking forward to serving the constituency. My thanks also to our terrific team, especially the volunteers who worked so hard and those council candidates who fought valliantly but didn't quite make it ... this time!

Congratulations on your victory.
I am not at all happy at the way labour are using all the cynical tactics to hang on to power. If Clegg goes with Labour he is just another opportunist and not putting the country first, but just self interest. If the two losers join together, they will be destroyed at the next election.
