The Olympics come to Elmbridge

Yesterday, I spoke at the launch of the Elmbridge Business Network 'Surrey 2012' event, chaired by Rachael Lake. The aim was to promote local commercial opportunities arising from the Olympics. Elmbridge will be hosting some of the cycling events. As well as a tremendous opportunity for the local community to enjoy and be part of the 2012 games, there are real business opportunities, especially for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises.

The event was attended by a wide range of local businesses, and featured a series of presentations and discussions on various topics, including:
  • The scale and scope of the local tourism industry.
  • Business opportunities - and advice about how to maximise them
  • Consideration of business risks.
  • Information on bidding for Olympic contracts.

There are real opportunities for local SMEs. For more information click here.
