Healthy Eating
I know what you're thinking. Now is not the time to be worrying about healthy eating. But, bear with me. On Friday, I joined Trisha Kelly - a gastronomical entrepreneur from Claygate, pictured below - formally open her new shop, the Health Cook Company, at 32 Old London Road in Kingston. The family was out in force to support Trisha, as pictured in the collage they sent me (below).
I first met Trish back in April, when she was running the business out of her home. She specialises in gluten-free cakes and other healthy food - great if you or your children have an allergy or are just looking to enjoy something sweet that is also good for you. Trisha is broadening out to other healthy baked foods, and you can read all about her various wares on her website here.
So, when the new year's resolutions beckon in January, why not pop by the shop, have a coffee and try out something different? I was amazed at how good the cup cakes and brownies tasted, despite the carefully selected ingredients. Trisha deserves to make a real success of her great business idea. I am confident she will go from strength to strength in 2013.
