Three Cheers for CHEER

Last week, I visited CHEER a local charity covering East Elmbridge. CHEER (Concern and Help for East Elmbridge Retired) is a small local charity. Their befriending service offers regular company for elderly people. The volunteers help reduce loneliness and isolation that some experience in later life. They arrange occasional get-togethers for volunteers and their clients so that they can meet up, talk and laugh over a cup of tea and cake.
