Milbourne Lodge School - IT gurus
This week, Milbourne Lodge School in Esher won the South East prize and came third nationally in the Make IT Happy awards. It is the 5th year the competition has been running.
The theme for 2011 was “Pass it On”. The organisers asked entrants to illustrate how they had used technology to connect with others around them – locally or nationally, in their community or in other schools. Milbourne Lodge School chose as their project “Tobias and the Angel”. The students created materials for those who are visually impaired and shared them with St Stephen’s School Visual Impairment Unit.
The awards were presented at the House of Commons, so I had the chance to congratulate the winning students in person (see below) - from Milbourne Lodge Jay Atherton, Imraan Janmohamed, Alex O’Callaghan-Brown, Casper Webb and Alex Roach from the St. Stephen’s School in Godstone.
