Watching the Watchers

I have written a piece for the Sunday Times here, setting out the concerns - based on personal privacy and security - about plans for expanding surveillance powers.

The problem with the upcoming law allowing police to snoop into emails is that it crosses international boundaries and does not protect communicators from other countries. This is an international privacy problem. We already know British cops are corrupt, so the system will be abused without a doubt and used for crime, false arrests and all manner of things.
