The Foley Boxing Club - Summer Party
At the end of the week, I always look forward to training at The Foley Boxing Club in Weston Green. I try to get down there on Fridays and Sunday mornings, where Paul Dawson and Gary Ball (both former professional fighters) put us through our paces. The club has had a terrific year, competing in over 40 bouts and achieving success at southern regional and national level.
Last night, at the summer party, former world heavyweight champion 'Terrible' Tim Witherspoon came along to give out the awards (see below with club chair, Lee Martin, handing the club captaincy to Dan Dawson). As well as competitive success, there is a great camaraderie - coaches Paul and Gary put in a lot of hours to make it such a cracking local club.
