Election 2010: The FT backs the Conservatives
After backing Labour at the last four elections, the Financial Times endorses David Cameron and the Conservatives.
It follows The Sunday Times, Sunday Telegraph and Mail on Sunday backing the Conservatives at the weekend, with The Observer backing the Lib Dems (instead of Labour).
